It is extremely disappointing that the truth about diabetes has never been told. I will now tell it like it is. In diabetes, the beta cells of the pancreas that produce insulin are calcified and on lockdown, and their plasma membrane is sludge-filled. The same can be said of the zona fasciculata cells that produce cortisol, the glucocorticoid hormone, and over 2 trillion cells in different body parts.
